Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Coffer application (the "App") operated by us. By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Coffer, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.

2. Description of Service

Coffer is a free personal finance management application that allows users to track income and expenses, set budgets, and manage savings goals. The App is provided "as is" and is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Free App – No Warranties on Financial Advice

Coffer is provided free of charge. The App is a personal budgeting tool only and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any information presented in the App. You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any financial decisions.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Not use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App
  • Ensure the accuracy of data you enter into the App

6. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Coffer and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Coffer. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal purposes.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All financial data entered into the App is stored locally on your device and is your sole responsibility to maintain and back up.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL COFFER, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR ANY OTHER LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP.

10. Apple-Specific Terms

The following terms apply specifically to your use of the App downloaded from the Apple App Store or Mac App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and Coffer only, and not with Apple, Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services with respect to the App.
  • In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the App. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including: (a) product liability claims; (b) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (c) claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
  • Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
  • You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the United States.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. We will provide notice of any significant changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
